Data Controller and Data Subject Information

This text has been prepared in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, and CAMGLASS CAM SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş is the data controller since it processes personal data relating to you, determines the purposes of data processing, and establishes and operates the data processing system.

Natural persons whose personal data are processed by CAMGLASS CAM SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş are accepted as data subjects under the Law.

Pursuant to Article 10 of the Law, which regulates the Obligation to Inform, data controllers are obliged to inform the natural persons whose personal data they process about matters related to data processing.

This text has been prepared to inform you as the data subject and contains the rights and obligations of the data subject (data owner) and the data controller.

Purposes of Personal Data Processing and Data Processed

Your personal data listed below are processed with regard to our visitors, job applicants, employees, suppliers and customers, for the purposes of ensuring company security, ensuring the security of entries to and exits from the company's private areas, ensuring internal company authorizations, and fulfilling the requirements of other relevant legislation. Personal data are collected through all kinds of verbal, written or electronic media in line with the purposes specified in this information notice.

Personal data relating to our visitors, job applicants, employees, suppliers and customers are processed based on the following legal grounds:

  • It is expressly provided for by the laws,
  • Data processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.

The data processed with regard to our visitors, job applicants, employees, suppliers and customers are personal data falling under the following categories:

  • Physical Premises Security Information
  • Visual and Audio Data
  • Identity Information

Which data are included in the specified data categories is set out in detail in the data inventory we have prepared as the data controller.

Method of Collecting Processed Personal Data

Your processed personal data are obtained from you as the data owner and from third parties through written, verbal, visual and audio recording systems and e-mail.

Transfer of Personal Data and Purposes

Pursuant to Article 28/1 of the KVKK (Law on the Protection of Personal Data), your personal data may, upon request, be transferred to the relevant authorities without the obligation to inform and without seeking your explicit consent.

Processed personal data may be transferred to judicial authorities or relevant law enforcement agencies or administrative authorities, upon request, for the resolution of legal disputes or as required by the relevant legislation, within the purposes and limitations stipulated by law.

Rights and Obligations of the Data Controller

As the data controller, we have the rights and obligations to process personal data in compliance with the KVKK No. 6698 and other relevant laws, to prevent the unlawful processing of and access to personal data, and to take adequate security measures, within technical and practical means, for the secure processing and storage of personal data.

We undertake to keep Personal Data confidential, to take all necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure confidentiality and security, and to exercise due care. The protection of Personal Data is an important matter for our Company. All necessary technical and administrative measures are taken to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access or the loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration or destruction of this information. Generally accepted security technology standards are used when processing Personal Data. Despite our taking the necessary information security measures, in the event that Personal Data is damaged or obtained by third parties as a result of attacks on our company's website and data processing systems, we will immediately notify you and the Personal Data Protection Board and take the necessary measures.

In the presence of at least one of the conditions listed below, as set out in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK, personal data and special categories of personal data may be processed for the specified purposes even without obtaining explicit consent.

  • It is expressly provided for by the relevant laws.
  • Data processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right.
  • Processing of personal data belonging to the parties of a contract is necessary, provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of the contract.
  • It is necessary for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligation.
  • It has been made public by the data subject (data owner) himself/herself.
  • It is necessary for the protection of the life or physical integrity of the person himself/herself or of another person, where the person is unable to express consent due to actual impossibility or whose consent is not deemed legally valid.
  • Data processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.

For special categories of personal data other than data relating to health and sexual life (data relating to race, ethnic origin, political opinion, philosophical belief, religion, sect or other beliefs, appearance and dress, membership of associations, foundations or trade unions, criminal convictions and security measures, as well as biometric and genetic data), processing being provided for by the laws.

For data relating to health and sexual life, processing by persons under the obligation of confidentiality or by authorized institutions and organizations for the purposes of protecting public health, preventive medicine, medical diagnosis, the provision of treatment and care services, and the planning and management of health services and their financing.

Rights and Obligations of the Data Owner

The data owner has the rights set out in Article 11 of Law No. 6698.

  1. To learn whether personal data are being processed,
  2. To request information if personal data have been processed,
  3. To learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,
  4. To know the third parties to whom personal data are transferred, domestically or abroad,
  5. To request the correction of personal data if they have been processed incompletely or inaccurately,
  6. To request the erasure or destruction of personal data within the framework of the conditions set out in Article 7,
  7. To request that the transactions carried out pursuant to sub-paragraphs (e) and (f) be notified to the third parties to whom the personal data have been transferred,
  8. To object to the occurrence of a result against the person himself/herself by means of analysis of the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
  9. To request compensation for damages in the event of suffering damage due to the unlawful processing of personal data.

In order to exercise all of your rights stated above, you may submit the application form together with a text containing your explanations regarding the right you wish to exercise:

  • by sending it to the e-mail address kvkk@camglass.com.tr, or,
  • by using the Data Owner Application Form available on www.camglass.com.tr. You may send it by signing it in one of the ways stated above.

Within 30 days after your request reaches us, you will be informed by being contacted through the channels stated herein.

We reserve the right to make changes to the information notice in line with all future developments within the scope of new regulations to be introduced by the Personal Data Protection Authority.

OBLIGATION TO INFORM

Upon receipt of this text, the obligation to inform you within the scope of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data has been fulfilled.

Within the scope of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, the information stated in this information notice regarding the processing of my personal data specified above applies to all our visitors, job applicants, employees, suppliers and customers.
