BENT AND TEMPERED GLASS
Bent and tempered glass have the same physical
and mechanical characteristics as flat tempered
glass. After heating, the softened glass pane is
bent between computer-controlled bending
jaws to form the desired radius followed by
sudden cooling by compressed air.
Processes such as cutting, edge processing,
and drilling cannot be performed on bent
and tempered glasses. Only sandblasting for
decorative purposes is allowed. Bent glass is used
on façades, balustrades, glass doors, furniture
glass, automotive glass, etc.
